Spotify is one of the most popular music streaming services, reaching millions of listeners around the world. Despite its success, however, app continues to be riddled with issues that annoy some users. Fortunately, the latest Spotify UI update addresses a major queuing issue that has plagued the app for years.

As spotted by u/Borapay07 on Reddit, Spotify is rolling out a completely redesigned UI for its mobile. Most notably, the queue now displays song artwork alongside song names. This makes it easier for users to identify upcoming tracks at a glance, as many people recognize songs visually by their album covers.

Unfortunately, the Spotify UI update has seemingly removed the ability to select multiple songs at once. Before this revision, users could easily mark and remove tracks in bulk from their queue. Now, those who customize their queues may have to get rid of unwanted songs individually.
In addition to tweaking functionality, the updated queue features a more futuristic design with bolder UI elements. Towards the bottom, users can toggle shuffle, repeat, and a built-in timer. The songs in the queue take up the rest of the screen — with their names, artists, and covers. At the top, a play/pause button sits next to the currently playing track. Based on the shared screenshot, it appears that the skip and rewind buttons have also been removed from the new queue.

Like most other Spotify UI updates, the revamped queue is likely to roll out to users gradually. If you haven't received it yet, make sure you're running the latest version of the app on your iOS or Android.
