As with every new NMS event, developers at Hello Games are reshaping the gameplay. Cursed is set in a new universe where the line between life and “unlife” is extremely thin. The exosuit, which normally protects players ,now includes an “anomaly suppressant” to keep them safe as the reality around them shifts.
Players cannot transform between star systems. Instead, they must travel via a gateway system, like the guild pilots in Dune — without the aid of psychoactive drugs.
Additionally, Cursed includes a new node called Boundary StarShip, inspired by the works of H.R. Giger. This node features many tubes and fleshy ridges, offering a unique aesthetic experience.
