Social media platform X, formerly Twitter, has reopened for many users in Brazil after an update that bypasses a ban imposed by the country's highest court.
The update leveraged third-party cloud services, such as Cloudflare, allowing users to access the platform without using a VPN, routing traffic outside the country.

The Brazilian Association of Internet and Telecommunications Providers (ABRINT) announced that X's return is due to the implementation of dynamic IPs, which make it more difficult to block the service.
Many Brazilian users expressed surprise when they regained access to the platform, after a heated legal battle that led to a ban. This situation arose from Elon Musk's refusal to remove accounts that promoted fake news. Judge Alexandre de Moraes had imposed fines on users who tried to access via VPN.
The return of X has sparked debates about freedom of expression in Brazil, where the platform has more than 22 million users. The hashtag “Twitter is back” has become popular, while the government of leftist Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva initially welcomed the ban.
