According to new reports, Apple's A16 chips are now being manufactured on American soil, specifically at TSMC's Arizona factory.
The A16 chip was first used in the iPhone 14 Pro two years ago. The chip is said to be manufactured at TSMC's Fab 21 facility in Arizona. However, it uses the same 4nm N4P process that is used at factories in Taiwan, to ensure the same quality and performance.

Earlier this year, reports had surfaced claiming that the chip company's Arizona factory would begin producing advanced chips for Apple starting in 2024.The factory's production is expected to increase significantly when the second stage of the first phase is completed, with full-scale chip manufacturing scheduled for the first half of 2025.
This move shows that Apple believes in the new facility in the US and prefers to manufacture its most advanced processors , the A16 chip, there.
