iOS 18 is expected to include some design changes, while a macOS refresh could be delayed by a year or two, according to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman.

In today's Power On newsletter, Mark Gurman reported that Apple has been working on a redesign of iOS since early this year. Rumors have it that it will incorporate elements inspired by visionOS. While Gurman agreed that iOS could adopt some elements from visionOS, he doesn't foresee a complete redesign that reflects it.

Although he corrected the “this year” statement regarding iOS design changes, Gurman was more consistent about the iOS 18 redesign in a edition of his newsletter, where it was reported that Apple senior management described iOS 18 as “ambitious and exciting,” with “significant new features and designs.”
Regarding macOS, Gurman said that Apple has already started working on changes to the operating system 's design , which is expected to debut in 2025 or 2026. The last major macOS Big Sur upgrade was in 2020

Apple is set to announce iOS 18 during its annual WWDC developer conference in June.
