It's worth noting that drone deliveries have a weight limit, which means customers can generally only receive small items, such as medications, birthday candles, and some small food packages. Walmart says deliveries arrive in 30 minutes or less, with some arriving at customers' doorsteps in as little as 10 minutes.

In 2023, Walmart partnered with Wing, which is owned by Alphabet, to deliver products to 60,000 more homes in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Deliveries are being made from two different stores. But this marks the largest expansion to date, adding 30 more cities and towns in the Texas metroplex. Now, the program is using drones from both Wing and Zipline to make deliveries in the area.
