Withings introduced its new innovative gadget, BeamO, a device that combines multiple health functions
The company's latest gadget is the BeamO, which costs $249.95 (~€229). This device measures body temperature, analyzes electrocardiograms, measures blood oxygen levels, and acts as a stethoscope to monitor the heart and lungs.
The device is equipped with PPG sensors, electrodes, a digital stethoscope and an improved infrared temperature sensor.

The BeamO features electrode sides for electrocardiogram analysis and a piezoelectric disk that records acoustic noise from the chest or back and converts it into an electrical signal. Additionally, the device includes a USB-C connector for transferring audio to the Withings app. With these features, the BeamO combines multiple health measures into a single tool, making it easy for families to gather data. However, FDA approval for features such as EKG and AFib detection remains important, and the BeamO is expected to be released in June
In any case, Withings has invested significant resources in recent years to build its own home health platform. BeamO is just the latest addition to that. It may be a while before Withings can fully fulfill its vision for telemedicine.
