The hacker group SiegedSec , or Gay furries, announced on Monday that it has leaked more than 3,000 NATO files.

In a post on Telegram, the hackers, who call themselves “gay furries,” shared several screenshots of the data, as well as a description of its contents.
“We enjoy violating intergovernmental alliances between major nations,” the group wrote.
The information says that the data comes from the “NATO Learning Management System” and includes records from portals such as the “Lessons Learned Portal”, the “Logistics Network Portal” and the “Investment Division Portal”, among others.
Many reports include notices indicating that their content is unclassified, but intended only for official use between NATO countries and states belonging to the Five Eyes.
Some of the files appear to discuss guidelines for protection and decontamination from chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear hazards. While some of the data appears to be sensitive, it remains unclear whether the leak also includes information that is already publicly available.
The gay furries' announcement is the second in recent months regarding alleged breaches of NATO's online infrastructure. In July, NATO revealed that it was investigating SiegedSec's allegations that the group had accessed its unclassified documents through similar online portals. The leaked files included information such as names and contact details of personnel at the organization, according to CyberScoop.

The group has previously spoken to the press about its politically motivated attacks . In June, hackers leaked hundreds of thousands of files from a website associated with the city of Forth Worth , Texas. In statements to the Daily Dot, the hackers said they were attacking the state over its stance on transgender children. The group soon followed up with several other breaches, targeting government websites in South Dakota, Nebraska, Texas, South Carolina and Pennsylvania.
In a statement to the Daily Dot, a member of the gay furries named r0xysaid the group attacked NATO “mostly for fun.”
“We chose NATO mainly for laughs and fun, as we observed their inability to deal with the most common hacking method, social engineering,” said r0xy.
The hacker also claims that the group is actively monitoring NATO portals and emails to see if the organization has been notified of the alleged breach.
In a statement to the Daily Dot, NATO said it “faces ongoing cyber threats and attaches great importance to cybersecurity. NATO experts are actively addressing incidents affecting some unclassified NATO websites. Additional cybersecurity measures have been taken. There has been no impact on NATO missions, operations or military deployments.”
