OnePlus Pad update adds an important feature, but not in Europe.

According to a post published on the OnePlus community forum, the update that is now rolling out globally is supposed to bring the “ Cellular Data Sharing ” feature to the OnePlus Pad. With this on their tablets, users will be able to directly share 5G cellular data with their phone on the same account without having to use the hotspot feature.

The bad news is that this feature will not be released in Europe. OnePlus has decided to delay the launch of the Cellular Data Sharing feature in European countries because “the operational experience and related performance indicators are not able to meet the user experience requirements.”
Other regions are not affected and will get the feature once the update is released. While the wording of the statement may give European customers hope that mobile data sharing will eventually be added to their tablets, that is not the case in reality.
Apparently, OnePlus will monitor the performance of the feature and “evaluate its future rollout,” which means there are no plans to make it available in Europe at the moment.
