Microsoft will launch Copilot, which is based on AI technology, to help users of the Windows 11 platform.
In a blog post, the company said that Windows Copilot can explain content to users by either rewriting or summarizing it. Additionally, users can ask general questions to Windows Copilot, similar to the Bing Chat, the blog post mentions.
Microsoft also said it will allow developers to extend plug-ins written for Bing Chat and OpenAI 's ChatGPT to Windows Copilot , giving developers "new ways to reach and innovate for our mutual customers. "

Microsoft unveiled the feature at its Build developer conference this week. Much of the talk around Copilot has focused on helping professionals and software developers be more productive. What may be even more important, however, is how Copilot can help demystify Windows for everyday people.
“It will be a way to command your device to do what it should always do,” said Shilpa Ranganathan, Corporate Vice President of Windows at Microsoft.
In other words, the days of wandering through an endless sea of (sometimes puzzling) PC may soon be over with the help of Windows Copilot.
The tech company announced earlier this year that its messaging service, Teams Premium, will be powered by ChatGPT.
Microsoft is investing billions of dollars in OpenAI as part of the third phase of a partnership that began in 2019. ChatGPT, a free tool launched in November, automatically generates human-like responses to users' queries in a way that is more advanced than previous AI technologies.
This comes as other companies have introduced or announced AI-based services like Copilot.

Billionaire Elon Musk, the owner of Twitter and Tesla, said he plans to launch an artificial intelligence platform that will challenge Microsoft and Google's versions of the AI chatbot. He said his new platform, TruthGPT, will be a "maximal AI that seeks truth and tries to understand the nature of the universe."
Microsoft 's Windows Copilot will be available in preview mode for Windows 11 users next month.
