Tesla regularly releases software to the Full Self-Driving Beta program and expands the base of people who have access to it. Considering the full launch of the beta test last year, over 400,000 Tesla owners in North America have already joined the program – which is essentially all Tesla buyers who purchased their vehicles with the FSD package.

However, the majority of owners have yet to see major FSD beta updates from Tesla, which were expected to be released last November. However, since then, the update has been stuck after undergoing testing with a limited group within Tesla's fleet.
Last weekend, Musk discussed the release of v11 and predicted that it could potentially happen towards the end of this week. However, the CEO has been on record making similar statements regarding previous releases of this update over the past quarter.
This update is crucial because it consists of multiple new neural networks, as Musk mentioned. From a consumer perspective, however, this modification is also necessary, as Tesla plans to combine the FSD Beta software stack used primarily on city streets and highways with the Autopilot software stack that serves as a Level 2 driver assistance system for highways.

Tesla's Autopilot system has reached a higher level of approval than the FSD Beta version, which requires more monitoring and frequent fixes. For many users who have experienced this firsthand, taking this step is understandably unsettling.
