Tesla has released an interesting new software update for its cars, offering its customers two brand new features: Auto Steering Wheel Heat and Sentry Mode Lighting.
The automaker's software update version 2023.2.0.5 brings Auto Steering Wheel Heat, which drivers will be able to utilize to enjoy a warm and comfortable driving at the touch of a button.

The company specifically states:
“Set your steering wheel “heater” to adjust its temperature automatically based on the set climate control temperature. To access the steering wheel heating controls , press the temperature settings to display the climate control panel.
Apparently, this update is only coming to Tesla vehicles that feature heated steering wheels.
With the new software update, Tesla is also making a significant addition to the Sentry feature.

Tesla's Sentry Mode is a comprehensive surveillance system inside Tesla vehicles that uses the Autopilot cameras around the car . It is based on TeslaCam , an integrated dashcam camera system.
In addition to recording what's happening around the car, Sentry Mode is also capable of detecting potential "threats" and triggering an alarm to notify the car owner.
What's new in the new software update 2023.2.0.5? With the new update, when a threat is detected, the Sentry Mode Lighting feature will gently flash the lights to indicate that the vehicle is recording video. This stops after 60 seconds or when the vehicle is unlocked.

The new update, which also brings other features, has begun rolling out to Tesla customers, but it may take a few days to a few weeks to reach everyone.
