Tesla is set to announce a new factory in Nevada

Today, Nevada Governor Joe Lombardo excitedly announced that Tesla will open a new factory in the state for its highly anticipated Tesla Semi pickup truck.

In his inaugural State of the State address, the governor made a weighty observation.

I'm so excited to be joining Elon Musk and the Tesla team tomorrow as they announce their new $3.5 billion facility in northern Nevada that will build state-of-the-art semi-trucks!

Without providing further details, the governor's comment is pretty clear: Tesla is supposed to unveil a $3.5 billion assembly plant to produce the Semi truck.

Today could be the day we hear the long-awaited announcement, just 24 hours before Tesla's results are revealed
