Nothing has been working on a stable Android 13 build for the Nothing Phone 1 for quite some time now, and the company has already released two Open Beta builds. Rather than being a full release, this hotfix will be applied to the second beta build of Nothing OS 1.5.

According to reports from Reddit and our forums, the Nothing team has delivered a new beta build to all beta participants. The internal build number of the new version is TKQ1.220915.002/1673708663, which is slightly newer than the OB2 build tag (TKQ1.220915.002/1673363378). The hotfix update does not include any code or security patch level changes, but it does address some UI glitches present in previous beta builds, such as the amount of RAM incorrectly showing as 11 GB on the 12 GB variant.

Those unfamiliar with Nothing OS development should take note: as of version 1.5.1 (the second Open Beta), the global and European firmware packages have now been merged into a single update package, making it much simpler to service all regional builds of Nothing OS, while also optimizing OTA delivery ahead of its US.
If you are already in the beta testing program or plan to install the update, it is important to be aware that pre-release versions of this software may not always be stable and may contain bugs .
