A trusted Apple analyst has shared that shipments of the new AR/VR headset will likely be delayed.
According to reputable analyst Ming-Chi Kuo , Apple 's plans to ship its new AR/VR headset may be delayed until 2023 due to unknown "software issues."
The long-awaited AR/VR headset will finally start shipping within the next six months, although not in the same volume as initially reported, according to Kuo's latest tweets

According to Kuo , the components required for mass production of Apple 's AR/VR headset will begin shipping in the first half of 2023, while the fully assembled headset will likely ship in the second half. There is a possibility that the announcement will be made earlier than the actual product launch.

If we take a look at the possible options, WWDC 2023 could be the time when Apple will launch its new headset. The company could also give developers an SDK to build AR/VR for the headset before its official release.
In August, Kuo reported that Apple was expected to announce AR/VR headset in January 2023 and that the company had already shown the device to board members. Prior to that report, he said that Apple would aim to ship 1.5 million units of its device in 2023 – at a cost of up to $2,000 per unit.
Apple yet responded to a request for comment.
According to a rumor from last year, Apple 's first AR/VR headset will be much more expensive than other VR products that cost less than $900 - however, it is not yet clear whether the price for the new product will exceed $1,500.

There is still some uncertainty surrounding Apple's plans to announce its new AR headset. This potential delay is due to the fact that if there is too much time between the announcement and the release, it could negatively affect sales figures. However, according to the analyst, even if Apple faces some delays, it will ship 500,000 units next year.
