Hundreds of iPhones have been seized in Brazil because Apple doesn't include a charger in the box.
Apple has asked the government to let it sell iPhones until a final decision is made. The company was previously fined a huge sum for the same reason.
The Brazilian government has started confiscating iPhones from stores and it seems that Apple will have another problem. There were two previous lawsuits. The reason is that it does not include the charger in the same box with the phones and chooses to sell it separately.

The Brazilian consumer protection agency considers the charger to be a very important “accessory” of the mobile phone, since it cannot function without it. For this reason, the Brazilian authorities proceeded to seize hundreds of iPhones from retail stores and official Apple stores. Under the code name “Operation Discharge” , the Brazilian “ sweeping ” operation is operating , with the aim of forcing Apple to follow local laws and include the charger in the box. This story began in the second half of October 2020, just after the release of the entire iPhone 12 series , when Apple stopped putting chargers in the packages . Reactions were not long in coming, and Apple immediately asked the Brazilian government to let it sell them without the charger, until the final court decision is made. Just a month ago, in October, Apple was fined $ 19 millionfor the same reason, and of course the company appealed. The decision against the tech giant was made in Sao Paulo, following a lawsuit filed by a consumer association, which said the practices were abusive.
Another fine of nearly 2.5 million for the same reason, again on Apple, and it was banned from selling iPhones in Brazil until it introduced the charger. The decision was overturned, however, and the final court decision is awaited.
This situation does not please the competent Brazilian authorities at all, since they believe that this is harming the economy of the people, while at the same time Apple is getting rich in the name of saving the environment.
