It seems that the rumors are true and Apple Music is finally being added to Tesla cars.

Photos shared by Aaron Cash on Twitter show the new Tesla exhibit at the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles, which opened on November 20, 2022. In one of the vehicles on display, Aaron noticed that Apple Music is included as a feature.
At the show, Tesla has set up the interior of the new Model S with a center console, steering wheel, and infotainment system. Attendees can test the yoke steering wheel and the processing speed of maps, games, and entertainment.
The vehicle was running a developer version of Tesla's operating system with build number 2022.40.50, and this is where Apple Music was found.
Tesla is known for dropping hints about upcoming features in its software, and the fact that this vehicle is running a developer version with Apple Music seems to have been intentional.
According to the software menu on the vehicle, the chassis number was set to “P3TERS3N1P000BUCK”.

Embodiment
Tesla's plan to integrate Apple Music into its music player, rather than running an actual Apple Music app, has both positives and negatives. Positives include a UI that will be consistent with Tesla's other music offerings, as well as voice command. However, it's possible that not all features available through Apple Music will be supported.
Spatial Audio
Apple recently announced that Apple Music will now support Spatial Audio in some vehicles. In addition to Spatial Audio, which creates an immersive audio experience with “true multi-dimensional sound and clarity,” Apple Music also supports lossless audio for certain song types.
While it's unclear whether Tesla is using Spatial Audio or lossless audio support in its Apple Music implementation, we can only speculate on the primary features. Tesla currently offers high-quality audio via TIDAL.
Release date
Tesla has yet to announce when Apple Music will be available in its vehicles, but many expect it to arrive before the Christmas holidays.
Last year's Tesla holiday update included features like the ability to create custom light shows, a new UI, and a customizable launcher. This year's update, due in December, is expected to include a number of additional new features.

Apple Music, which surpassed 100 million songs in October, is one of the latest major streaming services to be added to Tesla vehicles . If you want to use any of these streaming options in your Tesla, however, you'll need a Tesla Premium Connectivity subscription for $9.99/month. Along with Apple Music, some of the other streaming options available are Spotify , TIDAL , Slacker Radio , TuneIn, and SiriusXM (Model S/X only).
