At I/O 2022, Google mentioned that it was working on a Pixel tablet for next year, and such a device has now appeared on a Universal Stylus Initiative (USI) product list.
Google's upcoming Pixel Tablet may support the USI (Universal Stylus Initiative) standard among manufacturers, allowing it to use a range of third-party styluses, if a recently discovered entry on the USI certified product list is to be believed. The entry lists a device from Google with the product name "Tangor" and model number "Tablet," which are likely placeholder names for the Android- powered Pixel Tablet that Google announced earlier this month.

USI is an industry-wide stylus standard that Google joined in 2018. It’s already supported by a number of Chromebooks, allowing them to be used with a variety of styluses from different manufacturers . However, while there are many proprietary stylus/Android tablet offerings (like Samsung ’s S Pen for its Galaxy tablets ), no tablets have been certified to work with the universal USI standard.

Earlier this year, USI announced version 2.0 of the standard. This version includes a new wireless charging that could allow compatible styluses to be charged by simply placing them next to a supported device, similar to what Apple with the Apple Pencil 2 and select iPads. It's unclear which version of Google it might support.

As 9to5Google notes, it seems odd that Google's tablet appeared so early in the USI database, since Google said it was targeting a 2023 release. According to the Wayback Machine, the listing first appeared sometime after January.
