The Shortcuts app is the automation hub on your iPhone, but it also sends out a lot of notifications. Turning off notifications for Shortcuts isn't easy, and we'll show you how to do it.
If you've set up a lot of automations on your iPhone, like us, your Notification Center can be filled with notifications letting you know that an automation is running. In case you tend to forget that you've set up automations, these notifications act as helpful reminders. You'll never have to guess why your Apple Watch is randomly changing throughout the day, thanks to Shortcuts notifications.

If you're not a fan of recurring notifications, they can be turned off. We'll also show you a method for hiding the temporary banner notification that appears when you open apps with custom icons on your iPhone.
Disable notifications from the Shortcuts app on iPhone
To turn off Shortcuts notifications, you need to make sure you've recently received at least one notification from the app. You can't simply turn off all notifications from the Shortcuts app, as there's no option in the Settings app. If a notification hasn't appeared recently, create and run any automation on your iPhone and you'll get a notification.
Then, open the Settings app on your iPhone and tap “Screen Time.”.
Select “See All Activity”.
Scroll down to the Notifications section and tap “Show More.” Make sure Shortcuts appears in this list of apps.
At the top, you’ll see a section called “This Week.” Tap the left arrow icon in the top left corner. This will change the name of the section to “Last Week.”.
Now tap the right arrow icon to switch it back to “This Week.” You need to do this because sometimes tapping the Shortcuts option won’t do anything. Going back to the previous week and back to the present in the Screen Time settings fixes this issue.
Select the “Shortcuts” option.
Turn off the switch next to “Allow Notifications” to stop notifications for Shortcuts.
This will get rid of notifications for automations on your iPhone. You'll still see temporary banner notifications (which don't appear in Notification Center) for Siri Shortcuts. This means you'll be able to see progress bars and other messages for shortcuts as usual.

Turn off notifications for custom app icons on iPhone
You'll see a temporary notification every time you launch an app with a custom app icon (which is essentially a bookmark for an app on your home screen) on your iPhone. It's possible to get rid of this using an automation.
The caveat is that you will have to create a new automation for each bookmark you have. If your iPhone uses a heavily modified Home Screen with lots of custom app icons, then you will find this task quite cumbersome. Of course, we will show you how to get rid of app launch notifications for custom app icons.

Open the Shortcuts app on your iPhone and select the “Automation” tab at the bottom of the screen.
Tap the “+” icon in the top right corner.
Select “Create Personal Automation”.
Scroll down and tap “App”.
Now tap “Choose” and select any app for which you have saved a bookmark with a custom icon. In our case, we chose Mail.
Select “Done”.
Make sure “Is Opened” is selected and then click “Next”.
Select “Add Action.”
Now you can choose any action you like. Ideally, you should choose something that doesn’t make any changes to the app, since the goal is simply to stop the banner notification from appearing. We chose “Text.”.
Press the “Next” button.
Make sure you have disabled “Ask Before Running”.
Press “Done”.
Now you can tap on the custom app icon and the banner notification will not appear. If so, force close the app you selected and the Shortcuts app. Then tap on the custom app icon again and you will get the desired result.
