TikTok will soon give users the ability to create longer videos (from 60 seconds to three minutes). However, longer videos aren’t the only new feature coming to TikTok. The popular app has started allowing some users to pay creators for custom clips, but Cameo . Cameo gives users the ability to create professional-quality videos. For now, only users in Turkey and Dubai appear to have access to the test , according to social media posts spotted by BuzzFeed. The new feature is reportedly called “Shoutouts” and essentially lets you request and pay for a custom creator video using TikTok coins.
Creators can now set a price for their services, with the final product delivered to your inbox. In total, your custom video can take more than a week to be delivered to you, as TikTok first reviews the clips.

TikTok sees Shoutouts as a way for users to request birthday greetings and pep talks from popular creators. However, for now it is not clear how many followers one needs to have to earn money from Shoutouts.
TikTok isn’t the only social app copying Cameo. Facebook is also working on “Super,” a service that lets users pay to interact with influencers on live streams. Meanwhile, Cameo is going gangbusters, according to its management. Last year, the video-on-demand service grossed $100 million, 75% of which went to talent, Variety reports. Revenue has increased 4.5 times since 2019, with the app’s celebrity users giving 1.3 million shoutouts in 2020 alone.
