Popular messaging app WhatsApp recently added a new feature that allows users to unsend messages within an hour. Messages can be deleted in both private and group WhatsApp chats , and the feature is available on Android, iOS, and Windows. When someone deletes a message, recipients will know because the message will say “This message has been deleted” instead of the deleted message.

1. Read messages using WhatsApp Chat Backup
If you have accidentally deleted a chat and want to recover it, you can do so with the help of WhatsApp Chat backup which runs every night at 2 AM (by default). You can change the backup frequency tobe created daily, weekly or monthly. However, it is better to create them on a daily basis, as you can restore the chats before the next backup.

To read deleted WhatsApp messages, you can also use third-party apps. There are many apps on the Google Play Store that allow you to recover WhatsApp messages that you or the sender have deleted.
An app that may be useful in this process is “WhatsRemoved+.” The app has over 5 million downloads and is only available for Android users.

- To read the deleted message, open the notification and tap on the “DETECTED” tab.
From there, you can read any message, even if the sender has removed it.
Apart from WhatsRemoved+, there are many other apps that serve the same purpose.
But, once you restart your smartphone, the log is deleted from the Android system making it impossible to retrieve messages even with these apps.
