Prime Day is basically Amazon's Black Friday. Below you'll find all the relevant information we know so far about Prime Day.
What is Amazon Prime Day?
Amazon celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2015 by introducing a day of big deals on Amazon.com. The company offered deep discounts on Amazon-branded products, as well as tens of thousands of other items from third-party sellers. The entire event, called Prime Day, was a huge success, and Amazon made it an annual event.
When is Prime Day 2020?
Amazon Prime Day 2020 begins on Tuesday, October 13, 2020.
Where will Prime Day 2020 be available?
Prime Day is available to Prime members in the US, UK, UAE, Spain, Singapore, Netherlands, Mexico, Luxembourg, Japan, Italy, Germany, France, China, Canada, Belgium, Austria, Australia, Turkey and Brazil. Anyone can get a 30-day trial of Prime.
What can you expect from Prime Day 2020?
In fact, Amazon told ZDNet that Prime Day will be different this year compared to previous years: "Out of respect for the current situation, there will be no traditional celebrations." But it hopes that Prime members will still see Prime Day 2020 as a worthwhile event — one that finds "positive ways to help" during these "unprecedented times we're facing."
Keep in mind that Amazon postponed Prime Day 2020 for a few months due to the COVID-19.
There will be thousands of deals this year – not just on Amazon devices like the Amazon Echo, but also on business tech products. We expect big deals on Fire TV, Fire tablets, Kindle e-readers, and Echo devices, but you'll have to look for Black Friday-style deals all over the site.
Some offers will last the entire day, while others will be quick, limited-time offers.
