Facebook 's data transfer tool allows users to transfer their photos and videos to Dropbox (and Koofr) without having to download and upload them back to the platform .
To transfer, you'll first need to go to Facebook (from your computer) and log in to your account. Then, click the upside-down arrow in the top right corner and select "Settings and privacy.".
In the Settings & Privacy menu, click “Settings”.
Open the “ Information ” tab from the left pane. Then, click the “View” button next to “Transfer a copy of your photos or videos.”

You need to specify where you want to transfer data . You have three options: Google Photos, Dropbox, and Koofr. Select the cloud storage service you want from the “Select destination” menu.

Facebook only allows you to upload/transfer your photos and videos at a time. If you want to transfer your entire media library from Facebook, you need to go through the transfer process twice.
However, at this time, you don't have the option to select specific photos. Facebook will copy and transfer everything that's uploaded to account . Click the "Next" button once you've decided what you want to transfer first.

Then, Facebook will ask you to log in to your cloud service .

Click “Allow” and give Facebook permission to add photos and videos to your library.

Return to Facebook and tap the “Confirm Transfer” button to begin the transfer process.

The tool runs in the background, so you can close the tab if you want. To check the progress of the transfer, go to the transfer tool page. Once the transfer process is complete, you will receive a notification.
Facebook transfers your photos and videos in albums, just like they are on your profile. You’ll find a new folder called “Transfer Photos.” There are subfolders there with names like “Profile Pictures,” “Cover Photos,” and whatever other albums you have.

If you want to transfer photos and videos via smartphone or tablet, you can follow a similar process. Open the Facebook app on your iPhone, iPad, or Android.
Open “Settings” by tapping the three-line icon in the lower right corner.

Find the “Settings & Privacy” option and tap the “Settings” option.

Then, under “Your Facebook Information,” tap “Transfer a copy of your photos or videos.”.

Enter your Facebook password and click “Continue”.
Select the service (Dropbox or other) you want to transfer your data , then click “Next”.

Enter your Dropbox account credentials to log in and allow Facebook to add data to your library. Return to the app and select “Confirm Transfer” to begin the process.

Your transfer will again run in the background. Facebook will notify you when your photos and/or videos have been successfully moved.
This is the process of transferring photos and videos, as we read about it on Howtogeek.
