
Almost 4 months ago, Inkscape v1.0 was released . For those who don't know, Inkscape is a free program for managing and creating various images and graphics. Recently, the new version 1.0.1 was announced, which contains many improvements for issues that were present in the previous version of the application.
What changes does Inkscape 1.0.1 contain?
In addition to improvements, Inkscape 1.0.1 also brings users some new features, which are still in beta , and better translations for some of the languages it supports.
One of the most important changes in the new version is the addition of the CSS dialog to the Object menu of the application. Using the CSS dialog, users can easily add, change, or even delete parts of the CSS stylesheet of the file.
In addition to better CSS management, Inkscape now includes a new featurethat can list all the colors that have been used in a file, as well as how many times each color occurs.

Another major change in the latest version is the ability for users to save their files in PDF format. Of course, Inkscape 1.0.1 contains all the other saving options that were available in version 1.0. Additionally, using the Scribus extension, users can manage colors and graphics in PDF files even better.
Here is a list of some of the improvements in Inkscape 1.0.1:
- The AppImage now comes with python 3.8.
- The problem with finding fonts in the Snap version has been fixed.
- The issues with Zoom have been fixed.
- Improved appearance of the LPE Dialog.
