The new Oppo Reno 4 and Oppo Reno 4 Pro with OLED displays, triple cameras , and a Snapdragon 765G chipset. The company recently added the two new models to the Reno series.
The most important feature of the new smartphones is that they both come with ColorOS 7.2, the next major upgrade to the Android skin.
While several changes and improvements have been made to the system, the new upgrade focuses mainly on the camera.
- Al Image Fix
This ColorOS feature automatically repairs photos, especially older ones, that have been scanned and saved on the new Reno devices. It intelligently removes noise, blur, and smudges from images. It is the perfect tool for those who make digital copies of their printed photos.
- Super Night Video Mode
As the name suggests, this is an upgrade to the camera's night video mode and is similar to Nightscape mode for photos. According to the company, this feature in ColorOS 7.2 can increase the exposure and clarity of videos shot at night by up to 74% and 33% respectively.
- SoLoop App and Movie Mode
The update also comes pre-installed with the Solopp, which allows users to add text, filters, and audio. They can also create slideshows of photos and videos. The update brings an improved Movie Mode to the new models, with 21:9 aspect ratios, 10 color filters, exposure adjustment settings, and shutter speed for videos.
- Intelligent Battery Saver / Super Power Saver
Perhaps the upgrade that will make the daily life of most users easier, as it concerns battery life.
Intelligent Battery Saveranalyzes the user's habits and stops unnecessary apps that may be running in the backgroundto save more battery. Oppo claims that ColorOS 7.2 will help users increase battery life by at least 10% in nighttime consumption.
When you enable Super Power Saver, it will allow you to save huge amounts of battery power by disabling many of the features device's . It will only allow specific apps like messaging, calling, and other useful apps. The company claims that 1.5 hours of WeChat usage will only consume 5% battery.
- Camera SDK
The Camera SDK will enable developers to integrate stored camera features into applications, such as the exclusive camera of the Chinese company's smartphones.
- Oppo Laps
Users participating in Oppo Labs will have the opportunity to enjoy experimental features, starting with ColorOS 7.2.
ColorOS 7.2 is available on the Reno 4 and Reno 4 Pro, while the company has not revealed more information about the release of the upgrade on other Oppo devices.
