Twitter: Employees will work from home forever

Twitter: Employees will work from home forever: Remote work is becoming the norm for Twitter, even after the coronavirus. According to a company spokesperson, CEO Jack Dorsey informed employees on Tuesday of the new policy. He said in an emailthat Twitter offices will not open until September and that all events planned for this year will be canceled.

“Reopening our offices will be our decision. When and if employees return will be theirs. The past few months have proven that we can do it. So if our employees are in a position to work from home and want to continue to do so forever, we will support them. If not, our offices will be warm and welcoming, with additional precautions, when we deem it safe to return.”

Twitter's new policy is the result of the effort to ensure the smooth reopening of businesses, while respecting protective measures and social distancing.

Large companies like Facebook, Google , and Microsofthad already made the decision to work remotely and were very careful in planning for employees' return to the office.

Google them that most of them will continue to work from home until 2021, while some will return in early summer. Similarly, Facebook will open its offices on July 6, but those who can work remotely will continue.

The companies' long-term plans for working from home and maintaining the recommended safe distance stand in stark contrast to most businesses in the rest of the country, where restrictions have begun to ease and most people are returning to their daily lives before the pandemic.
