Facebook is rolling out a new feature on its mobile app that will help you track and manage the time you spend on the social network.
The new feature released today was announced last August.
Similar to the new “Your Activity” feature that Instagram rolled out last week, the “Your Time on Facebook” dashboard will show you a graph showing how much time you’ve spent on the social media app over the past week.
To check out the new feature, open the app on your Android or iOS device. Tap the hamburger icon in the top right corner and select Settings and privacy.
Then, tap on “Your Time on Facebook.”
The app allows you to set notifications that will notify you if you cross a daily limit that you set yourself.
Is it useful? It will show. The new feature does not present analytics that show exactly where you spend your time while browsing the social network, such as in photo albums or Groups.
However, it is a good start that will help you realize how much time you spend on the page.
