Library with over 1,800 free children's ebooks

UCLA has over 1,800 free children's ebooks in English that you can download or read online.

The collection includes classics like Cinderella and The Wizard of Oz, as well as poetry, education, and fantasy ebooks. You can read them online or download them in a wide variety of formats, including EPUB, Kindle, PDF, and more.
On the UCLA website, you'll find books published between 1728 and 1999. Newer books are a minority. The older ones even have woodcut illustrations. All of the older books we tested had legible text in image format, although some were a bit dark.
Books can be sorted by title, publication date, and author. You can search by subject, year, collection, or author. The default view is thumbnails but you can also view them as a list.
The books are printable in PDF format, although the pages will vary in size. View the online library here (UCLA Children's Book Collection)
