Red Hat has announced the release of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 7.5, the latest version of the enterprise distribution.
The new release includes many performance improvements and easier access to system management features through the Cockpit management system.
“Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.5 can help reduce the overall learning curve for new Linux system administrators, troubleshooters, and developers by making more complex tasks, such as system administration, easier through improvements to the cockpit administrator console.”
The console is designed to eliminate many of the complexities in systems management, such as network and storage settings.
“In addition, the new version offers more functionality with Windows infrastructure, such as improved management and communications with Windows Server applications, more secure data transfers with Microsoft Azure, and performance improvements for complex Microsoft Active Directory architectures.”
