Google Maps is bringing new speed trap and accident reporting features, almost a year after introducing the speed limit feature.
“If you recently saw a new icon on your Maps, don’t worry, it’s not another messaging service from Google.” It’s a shortcut that opens the new accident and speed trap reporting feature.
“Similar to Waze, Google Maps offers users the ability to participate in reporting accidents they encounter on their route and police speed traps,” 9to5Google reported on Wednesday.
However, the company has not officially announced the introduction of this feature yet and it is not known exactly when it will be available to all users.
