Honor ,a sub-brand owned by Huawei, is set to unveil the successor to the Honor 7A on January 8. The new Honor 8A was launched yesterday on Chinese social networking site Weibo. According to the image posted on the site, the Honor 8A will have a storage capacity of 64GB. The teaser also reveals the design of the Honor 8A. As seen in the image, the 8A appears to have a teardrop notch. Also, the model shown in the teaser image reveals that there will be stereo speakers.
Earlier, the Honor 8A appeared on TENNA with detailed specifications. The report stated that the phone will have a 6.08‑inch LCD display with a resolution of 1560 × 720, an octa‑core 2.2 GHz processor, 3 GB RAM and storage of 32 GB / 64 GB. Regarding the camera, the TENNA list noted that the phone will feature a front and rear camera module, with the main rear camera offering a 13‑megapixel resolution and the front 8‑megapixel.
The Honor 8A will also run on Android 9.0 Pie with EMUI 9. The smartphone could also have Face ID capability, as none of the images available on TENAA confirmed a fingerprint sensor. The lists also confirmed a 3.020 mAh battery and dimensions 156.28 x 73.5 x 8mm.
Earlier, the Honor 7A made its debut in China in April of last year and launched in India in May of last month. The predecessor is available for 7.499 Rs in India for the 3GB RAM & 32GB storage model.
