New bug in iOS 12. How do you solve it?

Initially, iOS 12 seemed to be a more successful update than iOS 11, but as it turns out, the experience is not as flawless as expected for everyone.

According to reports, a large percentage of iPhone are experiencing problems with the Phone app freezing, freezing, or crashing suddenly.

This technically makes using the iPhone as a phone impossible, with standard solutions like restarting making no difference.

Judging from online posts, including Apple forums, the issue is not limited to a single iPhone, but to many models, such as the iPhone X, iPhone 8 and iPhone 7. Earlier versions such as the iPhone 6 are also affected.

Some users attempted a full reset of their device without it fixing the issue for everyone. Apart from the problem with the Phone app, everything else works correctly on the affected devices.

The iOS 12.0.1 update also does not fix the problem and some users suggest that resetting network settings may resolve the issue, although again it is a matter of “luck” whether it will work for everyone.

At the moment, there is no known workaround and reaching out to Apple support seems to be the only way to survive. Apple has not publicly acknowledged the issue and it remains to be seen if a patch will be available soon .
