The pan-European cybersecurity competition European Cyber Security Challenge 2018 (ECSC '18) will be held in London on October 15 and 17, 2018, and the Greek team is training at a feverish pace.
This year's team consists of ten young people, professionals and non-professionals, hackers, security researchers, but even students, who are involved in hacking.
The members of this year's team stood out with their performance in the qualifying competition held last April as part of EthiHak 2018. From then until early September, all the children who qualified began intensive training, with live-hacking tests and education, which aimed to inform and practice the participants on modern threats, security gaps and the means used by hackers to bypass security systems. We mention some categories of exercises as reverse engineering, cryptography, steganography, computer forensics, hardware challenges, mobile challenges as well as pure hacking.
Anastasis Tsiboukis, Petros Mantos, Nikos Mourousias, Giorgos Tsekalas, Nikos Vandaliats, Dimos Poupos, Pavlos Kolios, Nikos Kamarinakis, Stratos Kaplanelis and Thomas Rogdakis will represent Greece at this year's ECSC, armed with the advice of their coaches (Greunion team, Hack the Box experts). The only thing for sure is that in these training sessions, hacks, food, and trolls flow abundantly.
