Among the many announcements made at the Build 2018 developer conference, there's one that's very useful for everyday users. Microsoft has taken the cross-device experience to the next level with its new app called "Your Phone." However, it's not the first company to do this. macOS already includes functionality that allows iOS users to receive calls and texts on their PC.
Although not much is known about the application, one of its most notable features is that it will allow users to mirror their Android smartphone to a Windows 10 PC.
For iOS, this feature has not been confirmed, however users will be able to perform certain actions, such as accessing photos, messages, and notifications without touching iPhone .
To enable the feature, devices will require Edge Browser, which enables the existing Continue on PC feature.
The app will be introduced via the Redstone 5 build that will be released later this year. If you're one of the people who can't wait to try it out, sign up for the Windows Insider program. But if you don't want to run the buggy build, you can continue to use the existing features that connect your phone to Windows 10.
Microsoft will provide more information about "Your Phone" on the second day of the developer conference.
