A dangerous bug has been identified in the Windows 10 Meltdown Patch

Microsoft 's Meltdown patch for Windows 10 contains a "fatal flaw" that the company quietly fixed in the recent April Update.

Recall that the Meltdown appeared in early January and Microsoft was one of the first companies to issue a patch. Windows 10 has since received several fixes aimed at better protecting users from Meltdown and Spectre.

Unfortunately for us, the patches in Windows 10 include a bug that allows an attacker to compromise them.Windows 10

Windows 10 April 2018 Update (version 1803) is the only version that is affected by this bug. The update was launched on April 30 for manual download, while the automatic update of the first systems is coming from May 8.

According to reports, Microsoft is working to patch all other versions of Windows 10. They will most likely be released on May 8th as part of Patch Tuesday.

So far, we have no details on how the systems were bypassed and whether a hacker has already exploited the bug to their advantage.

We expect more details about the patch next week on Patch Tuesday.
