Former Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer said in a recent interview that the European Union should regulate Google 's dominance in Europe in order to have healthy competition.
Steve Ballmer, in his interview with Bloomberg and CNBC, stated:
"I believe that Google's power in Europe is out of control. This thought troubled me quite a bit when I was still CEO of the company. I think some things need to change to give more opportunities to other companies."
Ballmer also revealed that he recently sold his Twitter shares, choosing to hold onto Microsoft shares instead. The reason for his departure from Twitter lies in Ballmer's interests, as he believes he doesn't have the time to engage in venture investments.
Of course, he did not fail to praise Twitter , emphasizing that the platform has a bright future ahead of it.
"I sold my shares because I simply realized that the stock market is not what I like to do. That doesn't mean I don't trust Twitter's earnings path."
For information, Ballmer is currently the owner of the NBA team Los Angeles Clippers and is one of the largest shareholders of Microsoft. He bought Twitter shares a few years ago for about $25 per share and sold them for $35 per share.
