British video game company Feral Interactive recently announced that it will release Life is Strange: Before the Storm on Linux and MacOS this spring.
Feral Interactive has already brought the first episode of Life Is Strange to Linux and now plans to offer the new three-part standalone story, Life is Strange: Before the Storm, developed by Deck Nine.
Set three years before the events of Life Is Strange, Life is Strange: Before the Storm sees players take on the role of Chloe Price, a 16-year-old college student who forms an unlikely friendship with model Rachel Amber as they both struggle to confront their own demons.
Launched in late 2017 for Microsoft's Windows operating system, as well as the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One gaming consoles, Life is Strange: Before the Storm has a Deluxe Edition that contains all three episodes and a bonus called "Farewell." Feral Interactive is planning to port the Deluxe Edition to Linux and macOS.
Feral Interactive has yet to announce the system requirements for both Linux and macOS platforms, but they shouldn't differ much from their Windows counterparts. The question regarding Linux systems is whether or not AMD Radeon and Nvidia graphics cards are also supported.
We'll likely know more in the coming weeks, but until then you can visit the minisite that Feral Interactive has created if you want to learn more about Life is Strange: Before the Storm and its fascinating characters in this new dramatic story in the BAFTA award-winning franchise.
