Google is fixing all the annoying bugs on the Pixel 2 and 2 XL one by one, with software updates.

According to an account on the Pixel User Community forums, the bug consists of a "high-pitched beep and a clicking sound when the screen is on and unlocked that sounds on the device as if you are on a phone call.".
Now, as reported by Android Police, one of Google's community managers acknowledged the issue in a short post:
"We're rolling out a software update in the coming weeks that eliminates a faint sound heard on some Pixel 2 devices when the phone is placed to your ears during a phone call," the post said.
This is just one of many issues that Pixel 2 owners have reported. Others are reporting screen recording issues as well as strange clicking sounds (which appear to be a separate issue from the bug that the new update aims to fix).
That's a fair amount of bugs for a highly anticipated, high-profile entry-level model. As for Google, the company addressed all major issues with software updates and announced further updates to fix any remaining bugs.
