Chuwi CoreBook: If you're on the hunt for a 2-in-1 device, you've probably noticed that there are a lot of models to choose from, as almost every Microsoft has created their own versions to capitalize on the growing demand for this particular device.
Chuwi is one of the companies that impressed from the start, as it managed to combine decent hardware and Windows 10 power in a 2-in-1 device, creating extremely affordable models that offer the functionality of more expensive products.
In its effort to compete with the big guys, including Microsoft and Apple, Chuwi is now preparing the CoreBook, a 2-in-1 model that will bring an even richer experience to its users.
The device will feature a 13.3-inch display with a full-rolled OGS panel, which will not only reduce reflections but also contribute to the overall image quality. Power comes from a Intel Core (Intel Core M) paired with 6GB of RAM and up to 128GB of storage.
The CoreBook features 4K hardware decoding, a pen that supports 1024 pressure levels, and a fingerprint sensor that Chuwi calls “Touch ID,” similar to the one found on Apple’s iPhones, despite the fact that it could be considered a trademark infringement.
In addition, the CoreBook is equipped with a 2-in-1 keyboard with a built-in kickstand for easier setup as well as a 37Wh battery that supports fast charging.
Unfortunately, the mass production of this particular model has not yet been finalized, which will be determined by a funding campaign that the company is eager to organize to determine public demand.
