One day after the announcement of the official date of the upcoming WWDC 2016 (World Wide Developers Conference), Apple presented today an update of its 12‑inch MacBook laptop.
The new version of the MacBook 2016 features the latest Intel processors, thus adding huge improvements in graphics performance and battery life. With the new Skylake processors, the MacBook with the 12-inch Retina display is much faster and lighter. For the first time, we will see it with a rose gold finish.
“MacBook is the thinnest and lightest Mac we have ever created and this is our vision for the future of the laptop,” said Philip Schiller, vice president of Worldwide Marketing at Apple.
“Our customers will love this version of the MacBoοk, with the latest processors, the fastest graphics, the fastest flash storage, the longest battery life, and the beautiful rose gold finish.”
According to Apple, the new MacBook will feature the sixth generation of dual-core Intel Core M processors running at 1.3 GHz and will use the latest Turbo Boost technology to speed things up and provide users with a frequency of 3.1 GHz. The DDR3 RAM operates at 1866 MHz. The brand-new Intel HD Graphics 515 graphics card will deliver up to 25% faster performance in the device's graphics.
The MacBoοk 2016 brings users a faster flash-based PCIe storage and will run the latest OS X El Capitan. It will operate with a more powerful battery that will offer up to 11 hours of movie playback from iTunes and 10 hours of wireless web browsing.
The new 12-inch laptop will be available soon from Apple's online store.
