As the iPhone X approaches its official release date on November 3, we continue to learn more about the device and how it will work.

One of the newest details comes from a Wired report about the device. According to the website, Apple is now disabling message notification previews on the iPhone X's home lock screen by default.
Technically, users can hide notification previews on the lock screen on previous iPhone, but the feature itself was never enabled by default. Now, notifications on the iPhone X will be hidden from the home screen, and assuming users install Face ID, that's definitely going to be a big deal.
The addition of Face ID to the iPhone X means that all new messages will appear immediately when the phone is unlocked by this new facial recognition feature. The iPhone X owner would technically have to look at their phone to see their message notifications on the lock screen anyway, so the messages can remain hidden from any other person.
But for those who want their messages to still be visible to prying eyes, Apple provides the option to re-enable lock screen notifications.
iPhone X owners will simply need to visit the “Settings” app on their phones and then go to the “Notifications” menu. From there, you can adjust your privacy level. Now at least even the most jaded iPhone owners will get an extra layer of privacy protection without having to navigate through so many menus.
