To celebrate the 20th anniversary of Dell Precision workstations, Dell is announcing additions to the Dell Precision workstation portfolio , a special anniversary edition of the Dell Precision 5520 laptop, and the official availability of Dell Canvas, the new digital creation device.
At the SIGGRAPH 2017 conference, Dell customers and partners saw for the first time the next generation of the portfolio in the fixed workstations with the Dell Precision 5820 Tower, Precision 7820 Tower, Precision 7920 Tower, and Precision 7920 Rack, which are completely redesigned inside and out, aiming to provide power for more creative applications.
The three new Dell Precision tower models combine a brand‑new, innovative and flexible chassis, delivering strong performance thanks to the latest Intel Xeon processors, next‑generation Radeon Pro graphics, and the most efficient NVIDIA Quadro cards for professional use.
The systems are certified for professional software applications, and configured to handle even the most complex projects, such as developing content for virtual reality applications.
The exclusive Dell Reliable Memory Technology (RMT) Pro ensures that increased memory demands will not have a negative impact on your applications, while the exclusive and patented Dell Precision Optimizer (DPO) optimizes performance for each hardware and software configuration.
Fully configurable configuration options provide the necessary flexibility to cover every application, such as:
• Latest-generation Intel Xeon processors are an excellent choice for artificial intelligence (AI), with flexible performance across a wide range of applications that include machine learning (machine learning) and deep learning (deep learning). For customers starting with AI applications, the new Dell Precision tower workstations allow the use of optimized software on existing Intel infrastructure.

At SIGGRAPH 2017, Dell announced, also, the highly anticipated Dell Canvas, which will be available from August 29. The Dell Canvas is a new professional tool, which was designed with the aim of providing more natural creative work.
It features a 27‑inch diagonal touch screen with QHD resolution, which is mounted horizontally on the desk and can be powered by the current PC ecosystem and the latest Windows 10 Creator’s Update. Additionally, the system includes a digital pen that offers high tactile precision, combined with the totem device, which provides the ability to use various menus and shortcuts. The Dell Canvas is already supported by the most important professional applications in the industry.
On the occasion of the 20th anniversary of Dell Precision, Dell also presents a limited-edition version of its award-winning mobile workstation, the Dell Precision 5520.
The Dell Precision 5520 Anniversary Edition is the thinnest, lightest and smallest mobile workstation that Dell offers for a limited period, with an exclusive brushed, anodized aluminum finish, in a new color «Abyss» and a treatment that makes it resistant to fingerprints.
