The only thing that is certain is that Apple has benefited a lot from the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 , as many Android users switched to iPhone devices. According to a study by Consumer Intelligence Research Partners, this transition continues and the percentage of users choosing Apple is increasing.
Specifically, 20% of iPhone buyers in the last quarter came from Android, while the previous quarter it was 17%.
This means that the iPhone is considered a worthy device and is appreciated by many Android users, which can only be good for Apple, especially now that it is preparing to release its new flagship, the iPhone 8.
Regarding the iPhone series, 34% of buyers come from older devices such as the iPhone 5s, 5c or the iPhone 4. Another equally good news for Apple which wants its customers to upgrade their devices to the newest ones.
According to analysts, the iPhone 8 is predicted to be the best-selling iPhone, not necessarily because of new buyers but mainly because existing users will upgrade their older devices with the new one.
The good news for Apple doesn't end there. Sales of the iPhone 6s Plus and iPhone 7 Plus rose to 42%, up from 32% the previous year, proving that Cupertino's strategy of offering exclusive features on the larger models, such as the dual-camera system, has paid off.
It should be noted that the iPhone 7 is in huge demand as 81% of sales last quarter belonged to the 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch models that feature the dual-camera system.
