Microsoft is reportedly working on a major update to Windows 10 Mobile, although the company has never said a word about it, likely because plans could change overnight if something doesn't go as planned. This anticipated update to the mobile platform is said to include a new app called Photos.

Basically, the Photos app is pitched as a more advanced photo viewer and editor, so in addition to opening photos on your device, you can also apply a range of edits, such as cropping and rotating, enhancing filters, and other settings.
The Photos app already supports some basic editing, but with the upcoming update, it will become even more advanced, with options to adjust more advanced photo settings, like hue and clarity.
Additionally, you'll also have the ability to draw on a photo, similar to what you can now do in the WhatsApp photo editor that appears before sharing a photo with a contact. This is probably a feature that could work well with a stylus on Windows 10 devices and, with any luck, with a pen that comes with a more advanced Windows 10 smartphone like the Surface Phone.
At this point, it's not yet known whether Microsoft 's plans still include porting this revised Photospeed app to Windows Mobile 10 devices, but there's a good chance that won't happen before the Fall Creators Update coming in September.
So far, Microsoft has focused entirely on bug fixes for the Windows 10 Mobile Fall Creators Update, and there are hardly any new features for smartphones this time around. On the other hand, the next update may include more significant changes for mobile, so we expect the Photos app update.
