If you're still using the first version of Windows 10 (Build 1507), then you're no longer receiving security updates, as the two-year support period for that version of the operating system has ended. To stay safe, you should update your system, Microsoft says, … and it's doing so.

In its announcement, Microsoft recalls the end of support for the first version of Windows 10 – released in July 2015 – and calls on all Windows 10 users to upgrade to the newest version of the operating system, the Creators Update.
The company states:
“As a reminder, the first version of Windows 10 is no longer supported. While you can continue to use version 1507 and your PC will still work, you will no longer receive monthly updates that provide protection against the latest security threats. To stay safe, your device should be updated with the latest feature update. We will begin sending notifications if your device needs to be updated with the latest feature update.”
We are not sure in what form these notifications will arrive, and this is not the first time Microsoft has "pushed" users to upgrade to a new Windows update.
Microsoft has been criticized several times in the past for its aggressive update policy , especially during the period when it was trying to convince as many users as possible to upgrade to Windows 10.
However, given the recent explosion of malware attacks on a global scale, the fact that the company is getting pushy with users who use operating systems that are no longer supported seems increasingly justified.
How can I find out which version of Windows 10 I'm running?
In the search box on your taskbar, type winver , and then press Enter. In the window that appears, you'll see the version of Windows 10 that your device is running.
-Windows 10 Home
-Windows 10 Pro
-Windows 10 Education
-Windows 10 Enterprise
with the exception of Windows 10 Enterprise 2015 LTSB and Windows 10 IoT Enterprise 2015 LTSB, which will still receive security updates.
