Microsoft has rolled out another Windows 10 Mobile build and this time the announcement came with a slight delay, as devices started receiving it a few hours before the company confirmed the release.
And yet there is nothing to get angry about as with all other mobiles, the new Windows 10 Mobile build 15532 brings absolutely no new features, but only three bug fixes that are very unlikely to create excessive excitement in the community.
First of all, Microsoft says it has fixed a bug that only appeared on the first VPN profile on the VPN settings page, so if you had more than one VPN set up on your Windows 10 Mobile device, this was a pretty big problem.
Of course, given that VPNs are most often used by corporate customers, we really doubt that many people were affected by this bug, not only because of the declining market share of Windows phones, but also because business users are unlikely to install preview builds on their phones running in the production ring. Still, it's a welcome bugfix and it's good to have it there.
Next, there's a fix for an issue where a meeting time zone was displayed in Chinese or Japanese, according to Microsoft.
And the third change is actually just a new name for Phone Update, as Microsoft decided to call it Windows Update in Settings > Update & security to align it with PCs. It's all based on user feedback, the company says.
There is only one known issue in this mobile build, Microsoft says, which is that in some cases, the WeChat may crash on launch. Nothing else is expected to go wrong in this build, Microsoft says.
And that's for everyone. Unfortunately, the much-hyped overhaul of Windows 10 Mobile is nowhere to be seen, and it goes without saying that it will be difficult for even the most loyal users to stick with the platform given the uncertainty.
