Xperia XZ Premium 's Sony was unveiled during Mobile World Congress in February and was named the best new smartphone to be announced at the event. During the presentation, Sony revealed that the phone will be available in two color options - Luminous Chrome and Deepsea Black.
However, Sony recently announced on its Twitter account that the new smartphone will also come in an additional shade, Rose Gold. Sony designer Satoshi Aoyagi said that the color represents a feeling of warmth while also highlighting its premium features and design.
The variant adds a special touch to the new smartphone, giving a new option to customers who want a more vibrant hue for their device. However, the design and specifications of the new model are the same, offering a 5.5-inch 4K HDR display and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on the front and back.
The company also announced that the Xperia XZ Premium in rose gold will arrive in the UK at the end of June, with the other variants arriving at the beginning of the same month. The device is expected to arrive with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, which can be expanded to 256GB via a microSD card.
The Xperia XZ Premium will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor and will feature a 19MP primary camera with a Sony IMX400 sensor with EIS, predictive phase detection, and laser autofocus. The secondary camera will be 13MP with a 21mm wide-angle lens and f/2.0 aperture. One of the highlights of Sony's new phone is the Motion Eye main camera with the Exmos RS sensor for 5x faster image scanning and data transfer.
