Indian Hackers Claim to Have Leaked 1.7 Million Snapchat Users' Data!
Snapchat is having one of its worst weeks yet. First, its app's ratings plummeted after its CEO made a comment about poverty in India, and now there are reports that a hacker group has leaked details of 1 million users' accounts.

According to reports, the leak contains user data from around 1.7 million accounts. The group that leaked the data, however, appears to be made up of White Hat Hackers. These groups typically hack software systems to find vulnerabilities that can be exploited by third parties, and then report them in exchange for a reward. From the reports so far, it seems that this particular group is considered one of the top White Hat Hacker groups.
The report claims that this data was acquired a while ago and has only just been released in retaliation for Evan Spiegel’s comments. However, Snapchat has yet to officially confirm that any breach has occurred, nor has there been any external confirmation of a breach. As such, we’re still a bit wary of this news.

Meanwhile, Snapchat is still reeling from the comments, which people have taken as an insult. It should be noted, however, that these comments are said to belong to Evan Spiegel. There is no evidence that he actually said them, with the company officially denying it.
