As we've reported in the past, Samsung is expected to announce the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus during a special event on March 29. Until then, the information being released about the two smartphones is endless. The latest one concerns the phone's performance.
The Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus underwent Geekbench tests, recording impressive scores with the Snapdragon 835 and Exynos 8895 processors respectively. AnTuTu is a Geekbench test in which the devices performed very well. Specifically, a video was posted showing the Galaxy S8 with Snapdragon 835 running the AnTuTu tests that included various graphics and processing tests.
The test results are quite satisfactory.
The Galaxy S8 managed to record a score of 205,284, higher than the previous record of the iPhone 7 Plus with 181,807 and the OnePlus 3T with 162,423.
The Galaxy S8's score is proof of the improved performance of Qualcomm's latest processor, the Snapdragon 835. It is worth noting that the phone in certain regions will be powered by Samsung's Exynos 8895 SoC, naturally providing similar performance to the models with Qualcomm's platform.
Aside from its powerful components, the Galaxy S8 will be visually pleasing, offering multiple color options. Notably, the new smartphones come in grayish purple, blue, silver, and black.
In other news, the Galaxy S8 will feature a fingerprint scanner, tiny front-facing displays, and a dedicated button to activate Bixby, Samsung's virtual assistant.
It is reported that the new flagship models will debut in the market at the end of April.
