Ubuntu 16.04.2 is here: The second maintenance update of Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Long Term Support) has just been released and is available for download from the Canonical repositories.
“The Ubuntu team is pleased to announce the release of Ubuntu 16.04.2 LTS for Desktop, Server, Cloud, and other flavors of Ubuntu. Like previous LTS releases, 16.04.2 includes hardware support improvements for use on newer hardware,” reads the official release announcement posted by Adam Conrad.
The official page that lists the changes provides a detailed description of all bug fixes from Ubuntu 16.04.1.
The following ISO files can be used for a clean installation of Ubuntu that will give you immediate access to newer applications and improvements without having to download dozens of updates after installing the new system.
We note that the ISO images have been updated for the flavors: Kubuntu, Xubuntu, Mythbuntu, Ubuntu GNOME, Lubuntu, Ubuntu Kylin, Ubuntu MATE and Ubuntu Studio.
